10 Things I Learned About Blogging In 2012. AND WHAT YOU LEARNED?

With 2012 almost ending with the arrival of Christmas and New Year, it is time to do an analysis and introspection to reflect on everything we have learned over the past 365 days. In fact, 2012 was a year of great learning for us, especially for me as Author and a freelance writer , and would like to share them with you, just as I hope you share yours in the comments of this article.I have started this blog just to keep in touch with blogsphere and just to share my ideas about blogging and i would definitely love to hear from you too...
2013 will be one year for us absolutely crazy in terms of ideas, projects and things that i will put in the air for my readers...
I think we can now move forward with some of the most important things I learned in 2012...

1. SUCCESS TAKES TIME

Success takes a long time and has no shortcut. Especially in the blogosphere where the number of blogs is huge and grows every day, the competition is such that to be successful you need to be very determined and have the patience and persistence needed to succeed. No blog reaches thousands of visitors a day with only a few months old. You must work hard in the content, quality and content of such a broad set of strategies that will help you achieve long term success you want. Who believes it can make money online the easy way, are sadly mistaken.
If I look back in time and what I have achieved in recent years with blogs, I quickly realized that success is something that takes time and above all it requires a lot of work to maintain. Reaching the numbers and results takes time, but keep updated blogs, and growing at the same level, is something that gives immense job and requires constant dedication. That said, keep in mind that your success is directly related to the ability that you have to be persistent, work hard and have the patience needed to express the numbers what you do daily. Everything takes time, but the results sooner or later arise.

2. DO NOT LEAVE FOR TOMORROW WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY

Postpone tasks and goals is perfectly natural and happens to us all. However, for every day that you postpone one of these goals, you're losing money indirectly. Do not leave for tomorrow what you can do today. Put the "hands on" and create multiple projects within areas you like, or expand your network of projects in other areas. Sometimes when creating many projects do not have the notion that one can change our lives forever, and it actually happens. Create as many projects are accurate, quality obviously, and go over time gauging which of these projects are worth actually worth keeping and which ones you should quit.
We've all spent the phase of creating huge projects and over time we close many of these sites / blogs because the yields are not as expected or niche market simply stopped being interesting. But the truth is that some of these projects end up result and you never know which ones will really change your life and generate the income you want both, so do not leave for tomorrow what you can do today and take their projects from the chest and start working on them immediately! This festive season where the traffic volume is much lower is a good opportunity to start working in these new projects!

3. ATTEND EVENTS

Attending events is crucial for you as a blogger. The number of contacts that can make an event, the things you learn and the motivation that brings home is simply immeasurable. When we talk about what the right time to invest in your blog, one of the aspects mentioned it is investment in knowledge. Good events are a real opportunity for you to invest in your knowledge, make contacts and bring that knowledge to your blog.
Invest in participation in events in the areas of business in which you have blogs, create some business cards to exchange with other participants, and bet heavily on increasing knowledge and networking. These are crucial to get bring contacts and partnerships necessary to leverage their projects faster.

4. INCREASE YOUR TEAM

Reaching a certain level and / or when you have to manage multiple projects becomes crucial to increase its staff and / or sub-contract to other professionals or content Freelancers. This type of investment is paramount assuming you can not feed all the projects at once and / or who feel difficulties to do with the quality required. When we talked about how to find freelancers to write on your blog we talked about some of the strategies to be able to find competent professionals capable of meeting the needs of their blogs. Of course, you must take into account the investment made for the same in the medium or long term profitable.
Look for professionals within the areas that you work and you can even just write 1 or 2 articles per week to your blog. This will allow you to increase the flow of content on your blog, drive more traffic and generate more interest from your audience. Indirectly, you will eventually earn more money to cover the costs of investment in staff. Trying to do everything yourself is a real shot in the foot.

5. ANY INVESTMENT IS WORTHY

The more the years pass, more are sure that investment is key on the internet. Only by investing in disclosure, promotions, advertisements, etc is that if you can continue to grow, evolve and above all to generate more money. Any self-respecting investment is based on generating returns, so consider always do your investments with that goal in mind. Are Facebook ads, sponsored an article, an advertising banner or any other form of advertising, you should always think on how it will achieve a desired yield on their investment. The same applies to other investments such as the purchase of sites or blogs, buying books or courses, and other related investments.
Put wherever possible a percentage of your earnings aside for future investments. I would say that an investment of 25 to 30% of their income would be ideal to make your website / blog continue to grow and attract new users. Consider removing this percentage of their gross income to investments in advertising, purchase of books and other forms of leverage to make their projects more quickly.

6. ALL BLOG MUST HAVE SOMETHING TO SELL

The sale of ebooks, courses, books, or even physical products is an excellent way to generate more interest among your readers, greatly increasing your profit margins and generating a much higher conversion, without intermediaries. Logically, there are niche markets where it is difficult to achieve, however, if you have the ability to create or simply sell something on your blog, do it, analyze income and draw your own conclusions.
Work towards creating your own products to sell to your readers. Over the years your readers are becoming increasingly comfortable in the role of reader, while you gain trust and credibility necessary to make sales more easily. Once the trust and credibility of a brand / person is the most important in the business of buying and selling, you have halfway done.

7. EXPAND YOUR BUSINESS
Depending on the type of blog you have and the success that comes from it logically, you should think about expanding this business across borders. If your traffic and your income stagnated, it is vital you start thinking about expanding your business into other languages or simply to other countries in order to achieve faster other readers, boost your traffic and generate higher incomes, otherwise you will be stuck forever. If you have a blog about sports cars for example, you are limited to users, probably men who love sports cars at the expense of other more classic or business models. This also means that you are limited to a volume of X users, which means reaching the highest level, you can not evolve anymore, at least in terms of traffic. That's when you should work to expand.
Although it is a relatively heavy investment, is a great way to enjoy your quality content to reach and impact users in other countries, generating more traffic and more sales logically, either through the sale of own products or through affiliates recommended.

8. MARKETING IS ONE OF THE PILLARS OF SUCCESS
Whether through social media or email marketing strategies, you should work towards being among its readers where they are. Nowadays it is essential to work with Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Youtube, but in the future will likely be other opportunities and networks, so you should always work towards being in the right places and give your readers the content and offerings they seek. Adapt to market and work towards offering your readers the content they seek. If necessary and appropriate, hire someone to coordinate your social media profiles in a serious and professional way. Work also on email marketing campaigns and make your readers interested increasingly for your work and above all for your products.
Marketing is one of the pillars of success and if you do not work correctly on your social media profiles and email marketing campaigns, you will be losing a lot of money every day. Your focus should be on offering your readers what they most seek.

9. GENERATE MORE SALES PROMOTIONS
There are many ways you can generate sales or increased interest for your products among your readers. The promotions, offers and discounts are one of the best ways to generate more sales, even if the value of your products is lower. Seasons as the anniversary of your blog, Carnival, Easter, Christmas, black friday or end of year are a good way to introduce you some of your campaigns on your blog and offer your readers something or simply give them the opportunity to acquire one of your products for a lower price, be it an ebook, a book, a course or simply a physical product, whatever it is. As in the retail stores or on e-commerce sites, your blog also needs work to offer promotions to your readers to generate more interest from your target audience.
Work on creating some promotions to commemorate specific dates on your blog, whatever they may be. Depending on the niche market, you can enjoy dates like Valentine's Day, Father's Day, Mother's Day and so on, in order to create themed promotions that generate a large interest on the part of your readers.

10. CONSISTENCY IS A REQUIREMENT
When you start a blog, regardless of the niche market, and quickly reaches the success and interest from the audience, consistency becomes one of the demands of your work. Even if your readers did not directly require new content that you post, you should feel a responsibility to regularly update your blog and not fail with your readers. Logically, the more content you publish on your blog over the years, the more likely you get more traffic and generate more money, either by selling products, either with ads from Google Adsense or Affiliate Programs.
Again I recommend that works towards creating an editorial calendar for your blog and strive to meet your goals and objectives. Set goals monthly, semiannual and annual and focus on these goals greetings. The requirement is a way to success and if you can be committed to your goals, the faster you will achieve success.

AND WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED IN 2012?
I W'd love to know what lessons you have learned over the past year with your blogs or websites. Leave your opinion in the comments so we can all learn from the experiences of each...Thanks!
